Conway The Machine drops Greeting Earthlings on 2/18/2022

Conway The Machine dropped Greeting Earthlings on Feb. 18, 2022 and it never seems to disappoint. Being one of the most top tier MC’s, like any other artist; Conway dropped his promotional tape to where his freestyles over these beats sound better than the original. Hailing from East side Buffalo, Conway seems to have the world in the palm of his hands.

Digging into each song, I will explain why these songs matter and why it is important. I think this is art because he painted a picture over these beats which made his stories sound so vivid.

  1. Devil in a Reject Hoodie (Intro)- Conway comes onto the beat with confidence and with lines like “Different animal, same beast”, (Conway, 2022), Conway talks about how much of a rare breed he is.
  2. Greeting Earthlings- Conway got his grimey still still rolling as he kills these soulful beats. Note that Conway came up from the same cloth as those who had to use industry beats to make it on the street side of music.
  3. Family Ties- No disrespect to those who are fans of Kendrick and Baby Keem but he owned this beat causing Conway to develop and present himself as an MC and he can kill anyone’s beat, easily.
  4. Jail Freestyle- Please tell me that Marshall did not notice he signed Griselda. It seems that there is truth behind this Conway freestyle as he questions Em and asking him does he notice he is keeping the streets hot.
  5. Moments- I was not surprised that he was killing Hit Boy’s production and he Conway murder this freestyle. My favorite line is “ I am always isolated, I don’t like people/ I like my own space”, (Conway, 2022) and he is speaking facts on this freestyle.
  6. Piano Love- Piano Love was released sometime last year produced by Alchemist. This is awesome he put this song on here because back then when you heard a Lil Wayne mixtape, he might sneak exclusives and Conway did just that.
  7. Seeing Green Feat. Goose- I did not like the original version with Wayne, Drake, and Nicki. Same with track two where he rapped over J.Cole’s, My Life. This is art where the street rapper makes it sound better than the original.
  8. Amen- Again, here is another case of another taking someones beat and making it their own. Killing Drake’s Wants and Needs, Conway killed this beat better than Drake.
  9. Language- This sounds like a lost track that Conway had stashed up and Conway let Darringer beat the drums down with his soulful sample. This is the Everybody is Food flow merking these beats with confidence and efficiency.
  10. Fredo Shit- Old Grimey New York at it’s finest. Conway should of been rapping with a ski mask on cause he robbed the competition.
  11. Hot Freestyle- Conway made this beat sound better than Young Thug and like I said, I did not like the original.
  12. Earthlings Feat. Jae Skeeze- Drumwork is the new label. Fuck with them
  13. Tru Bethel Feat. 2 Chainz- This soulful sample made 2 Chainz say Hallelujah.
  14. Outro John Woo Flick Feat. Benny The Butcher & Westside Gunn- The hottest single out rn. Stream

Overall
