Pilot Talk 4 12/24/2021

December 24, Curren$y drops his fourth installment of Pilot Talk. Coming with independent records to drop on his independent label, Jet Life; Curren$y manages to drop classic albums or mixtapes. Whatever you want to hear, Curren$y drops songs that make you want to smoke.

An underground/underrated New Orleans MC, Curren$y manages to mark his lane in independent circuits, proclaiming his name in the underground scene. There are rappers who depend on record labels but Curren$y learned enough to hold his own and build a staple in his name.

As we dive into Pilot Talk 4, We will dig deep into each track and learn why each track be lit.

  1. Big Game Fishing -Curren$y name in the game has solidified himself as a independent rapper who name built staples to his record label. To show love to his hometown, He yells out Free C-Murder & B.G who are also New Orleans legends. Curren$y is the real hometown hero.
    2) AD6 Feat. Jay Electronica- This is the first Jay Electronica verse I actually enjoyed. Curren$y sticks to his roots in New Orleans bringing Electronica on here and with that being said; Spita Andretti cruises on this smooth beat that makes you want to chill. "Banging that drop top wop" is a line that shows Curren$y’s mood during the song.
    3) Non Fungible- Non Fungible means you can’t take it away so therefore; you can’t take away credit from Spitta himself. This song has a cool dance intro that makes you visualize yourself in a ballroom. Rapping "I got 20 cars in the crib" means he turned his home into a car show. Curren$y has a thing for muscle cars. He gracefully rap " I can put your life savings in a stock pile" meaning your account is nothing to him
    4) There It Is- The hardest track on this song. Curren$y aka Spitta does what he does best and that is reminisce while he is smoking. As he claims, "Spitta is back on his shit" meaning Spitta is back
    5) Workers And Bosses- Curren$y is acting boogie as he raps, "I’m riding clean but I am a mothafucking mess". Curren$y’s confidence on this song relates to how well he releases his music and how he manages to make a name for himself in the independent rap circuit.
    6) The Scene- This song shows that Curren$y is still smoking as he raps,"we smoking on that good, even when we bad guys". Whatever he is smoking on keeps him high, so therefore; do not touch the highest one in the room.
    7) Memory Lane- Another song where Curren$y reminisces. He spits "it would be better if we build" meaning he wants a change in his direction.
    8) So Easy- A smooth easy listening instrumental for Curren$y to rap over. Curren$y knows how to stay high in the rap charts
    9) Under The Wings -Curren$y said he moves mountains with this music and he is not lying.
    10) Finger Roll- The outro where Curren$y raps his heart out. He raps “Can’t blame me its all in the game” which means don’t hate the player, hate the game.

Overall

is slow flow and his melodic mood, he makes things peaceful with his music playing in the room. Curren$y solidified himself as a rapper who build himself without relying on a record label. This takes lots of time and patience and I think he is one of the best ones to do it because of the fanbase he made. Curren$y made himself into a business with his Jet Life and with Pilot Talk 4, Curren$y made it know he is good at what he does and will not change his independence for any Majors.
