WSG released Side B in 2021

Westside Gunn is your favorite rappers curator. He treats his albums like art and with many teases, he said he was going to drop 2 albums in 2021. With his vision of the streets, music, art, and wrestling, Gunn composed all those things and made this art into reality. Inspiring those to purchase and appreciate art, WSG taught me to treat everything in a meticulous way.

On September 24, 2021, WSG drops Side B to his Hitler Wears Hermes VIII: Sincerely Adolf. His detailed-oriented way of delivering music brings back the creativity of how he presents his music. With the smooth melodic beats that were used, WSG made art out of his albums to where his vinyls are rarities and hard to get under $50. That is how much art is appreciated and valued at the same time.

As I dig deep into these songs, I will detail why each song curates a story to tell.

  1. Brodie Lee- WSG is a wrestling fan and Brodie Lee was a late wrestling star who past away in 2018. Paying his homage with wrestling shows who the heels is in Hip-Hop
  2. End How You Start Intro- Spoken word to get us into the album
  3. Hell On Earth pt. 2- The sequel to Conway’s Hell Still on Earth, an ep collaboration with the late Prodigy. This is a posse cut where the grimiest of grimey come together to make a song. Benny The Butcher raps his hustler bars while Conway keeps it gangster
  4. Free Kutter Feat. Jay Electronica- Although he does not impress me by himself, Westside Gunn brought the best out of Jay Electronica with this song. Kutter is an affiliate with WSG who is serving his time at the moment.
  5. Richies- WSG does his thing over this soul sample with gangster type vibes. WSG knows how to control the songs he raps on and this song proves it to the a T.
  6. Julia Lang- A tribute song to the fashion designer with the Trapaholics tag coming back like I was in math class bumping the new Busta Rhymes album.
  7. Celine Dion Feat. Flee Lord, Heem, & Chase Fetti- I can’t wait until a Griselda compilation drops.
  8. Best Dressed Demons Feat. Mach-Hommy- Mach-Hommy had hell of a year with Pray For Haiti. Before you listen to this song, listen to that album.
  9. Forrest Lawn Feat. 2 Chainz & Armani Caesar- 2 Chainz kills this song to the point, next album WSG needs to curate it. Armani Caesar came fresh with the The Liz album which is still banging a year later. Armani is the hottest female rapper out right now.
  10. Why I do em like that Feat. Billie Essco- WSG piano beats brings the dark side of the tracks. WSG spits that Buffalo grimey rap over this beat as Billie Essco does his thing
  11. RIP Bergdorf Feat. Mach-Hommy- Bergdorf is a department store and the title of the track is to tell their fans they kill the stores. Mach-Hommy is coming hard for 2022
  12. TV Boy- MF Doom should of been on this song if he did not pass away. A smooth rap beat that WSG brags about selling dope and being gangster
  13. Summer Slam 95 Feat. Larry June & Jay Worthy- An PPV on one rap track.
  14. Eddie Kingston Feat. Rome Streetz- An homage to the professional wrestler
  15. Ostertag Feat Stove God Cooks- Culture
  16. Munch Feat. Tiona Deniece- WSG bringing that food for though on this song.
  17. 99 Avirex Feat. AZ & Stove God Cooks- Stove God Cooks are underground legends and AZ is the godfather of Mafioso rap. WSG did a great job picking AZ for this song bringing back that Do Or Die 1995 flow
  18. The Fly Who Couldn’t Fly Straight Feat. Tyler The Creator- Tyler is one of those who needs an album curated by WSG because of his beat selection and how he rides the beat and does not care
  19. Big AL Feat. Rome Streetz- Rome is one of those rappers you have to look out for in 2022
  20. Bye Bye Feat. Keisha Plum- Spoken word for the outro.

Overall

Tracklist For Hitler 8

WSG has made beautiful art with his music and the last installment of Hitler shows how he turns his albums into a gallery. It is serious business with him creating albums for those to enjoy his music. Although he made music for himself to listen to, the world loved it just as much.

WSG made the Griselda label take over for more than two years becoming an underground sensation in our culture. Westside Gunn is culture and those who know culture follow him. Hitler 8 Side B is like disc 2 of Life After Death. Disc 2 is just as good as Disc 1. No disc is better than the other, they are both even to me.
