FLY GOD sent here from heaven to get fresh on y’alls. I love Griselda’s culture and how they mix hip hop with art literally. My first time I ever experienced Griselda was when Conway made a two track EP with one of my favorite artist and top 5 rapper, Prodigy of Mobb Deep. Conway was the first person I noticed then I learned he had a rhyme partner named Westside Gunn and them releasing their single in 2017, Machine Gun Black as the duo, Hall N Nash; Griselda caught my attention so I wanted to pay more attention to their campaign as it grows catching up on old and new music being dropped by that independent label.

Now let me ask is this art or is it underappreciated work? Westside Gunn been putting out music building music, art, & fashion to the upper elevation to the hip hop culture. Going to the game with his brother Conway the Machine & his cousin, Benny The Butcher; Griselda have made a name for this sport called hip-hop. Through the past five yers of me being aware of the Griselda movement, what stuck with me was Westside Gunn’s love of fashion and wrestling. Take a trip with me to Buffalo with this album and lets see what the city is like.

Conway The Machine (R) Westside Gunn (M) & Benny The Butcher (R)

Sunshine Intro

Spoken work and word for everybody. For instance, AA Rashad answers your question on Who Made The Sunshine

The Butter and The Blade feat. Conway The Machine and Benny The Butcher

Its’s a family thing when all three get together over an east coast boom bap beat that makes me want to put on a ski-mask and rob people, I felt that Conway,Benny, & Westside Gunn is a force to be reckoned with. Conway’s bars and Benny’s delivery kept this song on point along with WSG energy

Ishkabibbles feat Black Thought

WSG hustler flow is a reminder that no one does it harder than the east when it comes to hustle. Let alone, Black Thought comes on there and blazes the track like a blunt. Black Thought as your feature is a sign that lyrical rappers still run the world.

All Praises feat. Boldy James and Jadakiss

Boldy James came in perfect as he delivers bars while WSG sings a catchy hook. Jadakiss comes onto the track rapping gritty over an Alchemist beat. This is a great song to advertise Boldy James.

Big Basha’s

This is art at its finest. WSG raps all lavish over this smooth melodic beat. Art, hustle, & fashion being rapped all over this beat. Note and pay attention that WSG is spitting art all over this beat.

Liz Loves Lugar feat. Keisha Plum

I love this song because although it is a love song about spoiling your woman, the title says it best. Liz loves Lugar. As you can tell, I love the tilte because I am a huge wrestling fan. Keisha Plum singing about wanting a man to be loyal as WSG raps about dirty things he wants to do to his woman.

Ocean Prime feat. Busta Rhymes & Slick Rick

WSG rapping over a lavish beat with help from Busta Rhymes and Slick Rick. These two artist know how to assist WSG as they rapping the streets and fashion over a smooth melodic instrumental

Lessie

WSG literally suplex’s the beat using his traditional drug raps. I was excited when he name drops Hacksaw Jim Duggan. WSG also says he put money on your head have you dead by dinner time.

Frank Murphy feat. El Camino, Stove God Cooks, Smoke Dza, Flee Lord, and Estee Nack

Stove God Cooks, Smoke Dza, El Camino, Flee Lord, & Estee Nack all attacked this beat like the Nation of Domination stomping out Triple H in 98. An overload of wrestling references made this an ultimate posse cut in which WSG said his k will spit in your face like Great Muta. (y’all don’t know anything about him)

Good Night

Confident bars and luxurious instrumental made it complete with Slick Rick’s verse. Pure Classic

98 Sabres feat. Armani Ceaser, Conway The Machine, & Benny The Butcher

Let the whole Griselda family come and snap over this Just Blaze beat. This is N.Y and its finest and a team of Buff City rappers coming on here stomping over this beat. This song showcase’s how strong this team is.

Westside Gunn The FlyGod

Overall

WSG Shady records solo did not get the proper promotion it deserved. I felt that Shady was not paying attention to how good this debut is. Besides 50 Cent, Obie Trice, & Slaughterhouse; Griselda has made classics and timeless music for future hip-hop fans to remember. Westside Gunn obsession with fashion, art, and wrestling makes things very interesting and ever since 10/2/2020, Who Made The Sunshine is a debut for Shady Records that people do not recognize but should acknowledge.
